Monday Night Kickball : Spring 2024 Season

This League is SOLD OUT of team spots but we are still accepting individuals. While we wait for the official league schedule to be published, here are a few additional details that might help you prepare for your first game… If you have ANY questions not answered here, please don’t hesitate to email or call us!

League Dates: The Spring Season of coed kickball is from March 4th - April 22nd. (Please understand that we have a no-refund policy once a league has begun. However, rest assured that we are fully committed to providing your full value of games as we are able to.

Registration Deadline(s): In order to receive a team T-shirt on week 2, you must get signed up by Midnight on opening night. Free Agents will be placed onto a team on/before Week 1, and introduced via email to their new team captain. Registrations will close on week 3 (March 18th) and rosters must be complete with 12 players in order to qualify for playoffs. There will be no roster changes after week 3.

Free Open House for Free Agents: Each season we offer an open house to allow new & veteran players to come meet new faces and to get a chance to have any of their questions answered in person. This is a great opportunity for any of your new players to ‘get the hang’ of the rules, meet the event coordinators, etc…We encourage you to take advantage of this time!

Game Location: Games are played at the beautiful Bonita Creek Park (3010 La Vida, Newport Beach). Free lot parking is readily available all alongside the fields. http://www.beachcitysports.com/location/2550

Week One Instructions: Please be sure to arrive a minimum 20 minutes early on the first & last weeks to check-in. Once you arrive at the beach, you’ll need to go directly to the main tent to check-in, receive your wristband (wristbands are required to play), and ask any questions you may have from our staff. For playoffs, you will need to have a photo ID for checking in.

League Rules: Our Kickball Rules are prefaced by our 3 basic Golden Rules: 1) Compete with Safety First in mind, we are all here to have FUN  2) Show Good Sportsmanship at all times (this includes respecting the referees, helping everyone up off the ground - whether teammate or opponent - and saluting or saying good game to your opponents after the game)  And 3) we ask that you be our partner in leaving our fields cleaner than when we found them.

You can familiarize yourself with a full list of rules on our website, and are subject to change after our bi-annual Rules Committee Meetings: https://beachcitysports.leaguelab.com/page/kickball-rules.

Please Note: No alcohol or pets are permitted on the park due to City and State ordinances. *Pets are allowed on the cement areas, however NOT on the turf grass or softball fields.

For the first week we recommend you bring both a light and dark shirt to represent home & away. Proper attire throughout the season will include comfortable shorts or pants or other gym-wear. We also suggest wearing cleats or tennis shoes suitable for Field running, as well as any gloves, eyewear, or other safety protection. Balls, bases & other equipment will be provided.

Bad Weather Days: We always prefer to play - but in some cases games will be cancelled only due to lightening or unsafe field conditions (or when mandated by the city). Cancelled games will be texted to our team captains within 2 hours of game-time and posted via facebook (www.facebook.com/beachcitysportsemail). Up to 2 rescheduled games are possible in a BCS league, either by double header on a future week OR by extending the season. If the weather requires more than 2 rescheduled games, those games will NOT be rescheduled and refunds will not be issued.

Lastly, Tell a Friend! Your friends can register throughout the season for Kickball, as well as other sports such as Football and Beach Volleyball at www.beachcitysports.com.
